Legoueix Workshop. Signed, titled and inscribed by artist on tapestry bottom corner, and on label on backside. Produced by the C. Legoueix Workshop. Lurçat was a French artist and weaver, regarded as the father of modern tapestry and credited with bringing the art of tapestry back into contemporary popularity. His works often featured recurring motifs such as nature, animals, and the cosmos, becoming increasingly ambitious and detailed over time.
